LETTERS OF LAUGH TO THE ALPHABET
In   Pegado's   work   poetry   and   life   are   fused   together.   The   stillness   suggested   by   repetition   in the   explorations   of   the   same   theme   is   conducive   to   a   state   of   mind   that   wants   to   follow   the path   of   Zen   meditation,   and   the   steps   that   lead   to   its   progression   are   the   flashes   of   beauty that mark the artist's personal experience. Being    wary    of    the    functions    of    the    artistic    form,    Pegado    knows    how    to    explore    its potentialities   in   a   playful   mood.   Her   series   of   paintings,   gathered   under   the   quaintly   worded title   of   Letters   of   Laugh   to   the   Alphabet,   show   how   she   can   use   repetition   as   the   means   of playing   a   verbal   and   visual   game.   The   letters   of   the   alphabet   are   signs   that   provide   a   frame for each letter.
