VERBS If   words   are   debased   in   their   meaning,   corrupted   in   their   daily   usage,   a   new   language   has   to   be invented. It will be the language of a future society to be reconstructed through art and poetry. Pegado   creates   a   new   vocabulary   by   returning   to   root   meanings   and   word   association.   Mainly   verbs   for they   function   as   generators   of   the   sentence.   In   the   group   of   sixteen   paintings   known   as   Verbs,   the shining   little   star   becomes   bigger   and   brighter,   guiding   the   path   to   the   changes   for   the   future.   Utopia is never disassociated in Pegado from the poetics of the image.

The Circle, as a section of it, loses to the pair the place symbolically given to divinity. The

female and the male appear as the cellular unit essential to the changes of society in a

complex network of social and personal relations.
