Precision

neatness

detail,
indubitably
enhanced
by
the
experience
of
Zen
Buddhism,
are the main traits of Lilia Pegado’s painting.
She works the form in a constant pursuit of balance and harmony, a harmony that must be
attained outside the idea of duality.
For
over
three
years,
she
avoided
the
use
of
colour
in
her
paintings,
keeping
strictly
to
the
point
and
the
line
that
fill
in
the
space
of
her
canvas.
The
series
entitled
White
Paintings
and
Post White Paintings characterise an artistic cycle and were done from
1993 - 1997
