PAINTINGS ON CANVAS

In August 1997 Pegado began to work on canvas. She follows a new direction in her art,

leaving behind the complex theory she had developed so consistently on her own painting.

For her all constructions are fallible except her own, which she wants to be tested by

experience.  

Now  

she  

focuses  

her  

search  

on  

the  

pursuit  

of  

aesthetic  

truth.  

This  

she  

intends  

to

find  

by  

exploring  

the  

centre  

of  

things,  

the  

heart  

that  

pumps  

the  

energy  

that  

animates  

so

many constructions and defines the character of the composition inside the picture.
