VERBS - TO BEEHIVE
The   vocabulary   of   renovation   is   formed   by   key   words,   which   are   closely   associated   with   the artist's   geometric   symbolism.   In   To   Beehive   -   a   word   coined   on   a   parallel   pattern   with   'to behave'   -   the   eight   point   star   shines   over   the   Hexagon   -   a   symbol   which   is   central   to   the sixteen paintings of the present series. In   Pegado's   code,   we   may   recall,   the   Hexagon   represents   the   orderly   society,   a   society   ruled by   a   sense   of   equanimity   and   justice,   an   open   society   where   each   individual   has   her/his   own place   as   a   free   being   and   where   the   pair   (female   and   male)   find   the   ground   for   their fulfilment and well-being. Being   the   sign   of   a   refined   experience   the   eight-point   star   encompasses   in   itself   the   Octagon - the fusion of the pair in the variations of the Quadrangle.
